KOENIGSEGG SHATTERS 4 ACCELERATION AND SPEED RECORDS: YOUR MOVE BUGATTI

  • The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut set a 0-400-0 kph record of 27.83 seconds, improving on the Regera's previous time.
  • The supercar also set three additional world records for a fully homologated, standard production car, all in a single run.
  • No special modifications were made other than a roll cage to protect the driver.

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is a more extreme version of the already incredible Jesko supercar. It's powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with a ridiculous 1,280 horsepower and 1,106 lb-ft of torque with a 9-speed multi-clutch automatic transmission. This rear-wheel drive monster has seating for the driver and one lucky passenger, and it's incredibly fast. In fact, it just set a new 0-400-0 kph record of just 27.83 seconds.

In addition to the 0-400-0 kph time, the car also set a 0-400 kph record of 18.82 seconds, 0-250-0 kph time of 28.27 seconds, and 0-250 kph time of 19.20 seconds. The original 0-400-0 kph speed was set by the Koenigsegg Regera back in 2023 and it beat that time by nearly a full second. It might not sound like a lot, but shaving that much time off a speed record like this one is an incredible feat.

Jesko Sets Multiple World Records

All four records were set on June 27 at an airfield in Örebro, Sweden, which is where the Regera set its original record. Also impressive is that all four records were from a single run, not multiple runs throughout the day.

That run was conducted at 5am when conditions were just right. The day before, the team determined that the ambient air temp and track temp were both higher than what was ideal. And it looks like holding off for a day for perfect weather was the right call.

No Modifications Made To Hypercar

There were no special modifications made to the car in order to achieve these records, aside from a roll cage to protect test driver, Markus Lundh. The car ran in as-delivered condition on E85 fuel on the standard Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 R tires.
