12 MOST RELIABLE LUXURY CARS ON THE USED MARKET IN 2024

  • Not all reliable luxury cars cost an arm and a leg to maintain - some can go beyond 200,000 miles.
  • J.D. Power reliability scores of 80 or higher can help you confidently choose a long-lasting luxury car.
  • From Mercedes-Benz to Lexus, there are many reliable options to consider beyond just the popular Lexus brand.

If you're in the market for a luxury car, you might believe that Lexus is the only reliable luxury car brand on the market. Which, according to this article, is patently untrue. Sure, a lot of luxury car brands cost an arm and a leg to foot the maintenance bill and no automotive brand is perfect. But you may be surprised to find out that there are some seriously reliable luxury cars out there that you can bet your hard-earned money on.

We're going to cover 12 of our best picks for the most reliable luxury car. It could be anything from a sedan to a mid-size family SUV. All vehicles must have at least a reliability score of 80 out of 100 or above from J.D. Power. We've also included other reliability factors like annual and 10-year maintenance costs, plus the highest mileage recorded for each model.

How we made our model selections: All vehicles listed below were chosen based off of J.D. Power's reliability rating of 80 out 100 and above. Maintenance costs were determined by either Repair Pal's annual cost of maintenance or CarEdge's cost of maintenance within the first ten years of ownership. If two models had the same J.D. Power score, we then factored in the cost of maintenance.
